Emerging in the 16th century as the sung evening office of the Church of England\, Choral Evensong weaves together scripture\, psalms\, canticles\, and prayers\, offered on behalf of the whole community. This contemplative liturgy is sung by the St. John’s Adult Choir and the choristers of the Choir School\, featuring music by Josef Rheinberger\, Martin Neary\, Cecilia McDowall\, and Charles Wood. All are welcome to experience this transcendent service at the close of the Epiphany season.

DESCRIPTION:A word about this February’s Parish Meeting: \nAs you may be aware\, our Annual Parish Meeting takes place each year directly following Diocesan Convention\, as prescribed by the Canons of the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. Because Diocesan Convention now occurs in September\, our Annual Parish Meeting in which we share the news of Convention and elect new Convention Delegates will also be postponed. For that reason\, Fr. Lonnie has called for a Special Parish Meeting to take place on Sunday\, February 8\, 2026\, to allow us to elect new Vestry members\, share parish reports\, and transact other business and ministry typical to the start of the year at St. John’s. \nWe will also enjoy fellowship at our Annual Chili Cook Off! Below is a tentative schedule. \n\n10 AM – ONLY morning worship service (Holy Eucharist – Rite II)*\n11:30 AM – Parish Meeting (church)*\n12 PM – Annual Chili Cook Off (Alfriend Hall)\n\n*The meeting itself will be part of our Sunday worship live stream.
