Students’ innate spirituality will be engaged\, and their growing use of religious language will be nourished as they make meaning from Biblical stories through a creative process of self-discovery. \n1st: Festal Eucharist– Students will participate in a special curriculum created right here at St. John’s to prepare our first-grade children for worship in the Episcopal tradition. They will focus on Worship\, Holy Baptism\, Christian Giving and The Holy Eucharist culminating with the Festal Eucharist in May. \n2nd/3rd & 4th/5th: StoryMakers- Upper elementary students will become StoryMakers and use their imaginations to enter God’s story. They will engage with Biblical stories through creative visual arts\, interactive storytelling\, field notes\, fun facts\, thoughts to ponder\, and hands-on activities. DESCRIPTION:Join Spires in the Sun author Jonathan Rich for an engaging multi-media presentation on the seminal book about Carpenter Gothic Episcopal Churches in Florida. \nThese churches were constructed in the 1800s\, when Florida was still largely a raw southeastern frontier. Yet these churches breathed the romantic sensibilities of England’s stone parish churches into new wood. Participants may be surprised to learn about one particular church that has an interesting connection to Harriet Beecher Stowe. Spires in the Sun was the winner of the Florida Historical Society’s 2024 Charlton Tibeau Award. This work weaves together architectural\, church\, and Florida history with engrossing storytelling\, vibrant color photographs\, and rare black-and-white historical images. \nAppropriate for all ages. DESCRIPTION:On Tuesdays in October\, members of the St. John’s Tower Bell Guild will be performing bell concerts and providing tours of our historic bell tower. Come enjoy the beautiful sounds of St. John’s 14 hand-rung bells while eating lunch in the garden. Outdoor seating is available in Eve’s Garden\, or one of St. John’s many other outdoor garden spaces. \nBells will be played from noon-12:30 p.m. Informal tours will follow. Simply make your way to the choir loft following each Tuesday’s concert.

SUMMARY:Women’s Bible Study
DESCRIPTION:This fall\, St. John’s will offer a new weekly Bible study for women on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Killeen Hall. Facilitated by Jane Menton\, the group will explore A Beautiful Year in the Bible\, a theologically grounded and visually engaging resource from the Alabaster Company. Designed to be accessible and thought-provoking\, this study invites women of all ages and backgrounds to reflect on themes such as New Beginnings\, Heeding God’s Call\, Relationships\, Forgiveness\, Generosity\, and Hope. \n\n\n\n\nThe format is flexible\, with content designed for 52 weeks but easily spread across two years if the group desires. Books are available for purchase on Amazon. Our first session will be Tuesday\, September 16. All are welcome.
