SUMMARY:Trunk ‘R Treat & Organ Spooktacular
DESCRIPTION:A fun fall event for the entire family is coming your way on Sunday\, October 26 from 5 to 6 PM. St. John’s second annual Trunk-R-Treat will be held in the parking lot behind the former St. John’s Bookstore. The entire community is welcome to come trick or treat in this safe\, fun environment. \nAt 6 PM\, head over to the church for a 15 minute Organ Spooktacular Concert. \nWant to help us make this a fun night for our “Trunk-R-Treaters?” There are two ways to volunteer: \n\nHost a Trunk: decorate your car’s trunk and pass out candy to visiting families. Use your imagination and have fun when creating a theme for your vehicle. Prizes will be awarded! Please come with candy to distribute at your vehicle\, and we will help you refill as the event progresses. Click here to Host a Trunk!\n\nSend in Candy Donations: St. John’s Children’s Ministry will be collecting candy from parishioners throughout the month of October.  This will help us replenish candy throughout the evening for those who are hosting cars. Please bring bags of individually wrapped candy to the office by October 19.

SUMMARY:Acolyte Training in the Church
DESCRIPTION:Calling all 5th – 12th graders! Are you curious about what it’s like to serve in church\, carry a torch\, or lead a big procession? Then come be an acolyte—one of the youngest leaders in worship at St. John’s! Acolytes help make Sunday mornings special\, and it’s a great way to learn something new\, be part of a team\, and have fun along the way. \nTraining is Sunday\, August 24 at 12 PM in the church—whether you’re brand new or already know the ropes. You’ll learn how to carry torches\, hold banners\, and serve up front during worship. Our older acolytes will show you everything you need to know—and yes\, lunch is included! \nWe can’t wait to welcome our newest acolytes! \nQuestions? Email Tyree.

SUMMARY:MASH (Munchkins & Spiritual Harmony)
DESCRIPTION:It’s been no small feat to land on a date between a never-ending legislative session\, summer travels\, VBS (PK4–5th)\, and all the other church happenings\, but we did it. Our next Munchkins & Spiritual Harmony gathering will be Saturday\, July 26 at 9:00 a.m. in Killeen Hall. \nWe’ll stick with our usual rhythm: coffee\, conversation\, and connection as we explore faith and parenting in the beautiful chaos of early childhood. The nursery will be open. \nWhether you’re fresh out of camp drop-off mode\, arriving pajama-clad with coffee in hand\, or simply ready for some grown-up conversation\, come as you are. Bring your calendars so we can get a few playdates on the books. \nGrateful for you all and excited to be back together soon.
